Last updated: 22 July 2026

This page explains what personal data this site collects, why, how long it is kept, and how to exercise your rights. It describes how the site actually works, not an intention.

1. Who processes your data

This site is published by Majda Bouchaouir, trading as Chouette de Plume, sole trader (micro-entreprise), SIREN 105 058 903, registered at 9 rue des Érables, 45250 Briare, France.

For any question about your personal data, write to chouettedeplume@gmail.com.

2. What data, and why

Four forms on this site store data, each for a distinct purpose. Addresses are never moved from one list to another.

  • Free ebook: email address, consent, site language and originating page. Purpose: to send you the download link for the requested ebook.
  • Book release list: email address, consent, site language and originating page. Purpose: to send you an email on the day the book is published.
  • Contact form: first and last name, email address, phone number if you provide one, the content of your message, consent and site language. Purpose: to reply to your message.
  • Quote request: first and last name, email address, chosen package, project type, target deadline, optional message, consent and site language. Purpose: to prepare and send you a quote.
  • In every case the date of the request is recorded.

No other data is collected: no profiling, no browsing tracking, no resale to third parties. Sending a contact or quote request does not add you to the release list, which requires a separate, deliberate sign-up.

3. Legal basis

Your consent, collected via an unticked checkbox at the time of entry (Article 6.1.a GDPR). You may withdraw it at any time, without justification (see section 6).

4. How long

Addresses collected for the ebook: 3 years from the last contact.

Addresses collected for the release list: kept to inform you of this release and future ones, until you ask for their deletion.

Contact and quote requests: 3 years from the last exchange.

Any deletion request is handled within 30 days.

5. Who else has access

Data is not passed to anyone for commercial purposes. Two technical providers are involved:

  • Supabase: database and file hosting. Tables are protected by Row Level Security: they are reachable only by the site's server, never from your browser. Hosting region: European Union (Frankfurt, Germany).
  • Netlify, Inc.: site hosting, servers in the United States; transfers covered by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

6. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to and port your data, and to withdraw your consent at any time.

To exercise them, write to chouettedeplume@gmail.com stating the email address concerned. You will receive a reply within 30 days.

If the reply does not satisfy you, you may lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority (CNIL): 3 place de Fontenoy, 75007 Paris, or www.cnil.fr.

7. Cookies and analytics

This site sets no cookies, uses no analytics tool and embeds no advertising tracker. This is why no consent banner is shown.

8. Security

Traffic to and from the site is encrypted (HTTPS). The tables holding email addresses are unreachable from the browser and readable only by the server. Ebook download links are signed and expire automatically after a limited time.

9. Changes

This policy may change to reflect developments in the site or in regulation. The last update date appears at the top of this page.
